Gamescom 2023 registered a staggering 270,000 visitors in attendance, making it the biggest gaming event of the year. The event, hosted in Germany, showcased the best upcoming AAA blockbusters, indie, and mobile games for the coming year and beyond. Gamescom featured trailers and demos of many games, of which the highlights were:

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

Fans eagerly wait to get their hands on the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise. Modern Warfare 3, announced at Gamescom 2023, is set to be released on November 10, 2023.

The game will support cross-play as it is released for PlayStation 5/4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will feature Campaign Mode, where the story picks up from the end of Modern Warfare 2. Multiplayer and Special Ops game modes were also announced, along with the largest and most anticipated Zombies mode.

The developers at Ubisoft are ready to give you the most intense driving experience with The Crew Motorfest. Race through the beautiful island of Hawaii at high speed with the most iconic cars, including American Muscle, Japanese street racers, and memorable cars of the past!

The game features speed checks, races, and a new mode, Demolition Royal. The Crew Motorfest will be available on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC’s.

Alan Wake 2

Brace yourselves to face the terror in Alan Wake 2, a sequel to Remedy Entertainment’s award-winning 2010 thriller. This single-player game takes you through a multilayered psychological story and challenges you to survive the horror and mysteries. Alan Wake 2 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PCs on October 27th, 2023.

Gamescom Studio segment unveiled the trailer for Kena: Bridge of Sprits, a single-player action-adventure game developed by Ember Lab. The game is set to showcase its stunning visuals and heartwarming story on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on September 21, 2023.

Gamescom Awesome Indies:

The featured game trailer for the Awesome Indies segment was for the open-world RPG action game Elden Ring’s upcoming DLC. The gameplay trailer showed off new enemies and weapons and teased a new story arc. Gamers will be able to experience the rich lore and visuals of Elden Ring on January 21, 2024.

Best of Gamescom Award: 

The most prestigious award of the night was the Best of Gamescom Award, claimed by Elden Ring. Mortal Kombat 1 took home the title for the Best Microsoft Xbox Game, and Tekken 8 became the Best Sony PlayStation Game
